.... everybody look what's going down ... " Remember that song? It was a from a different time. A time when people wanted to stop the madness. A time when people were actually willing to THINK and ACT ... to stop the madness. So what did they accomplish? Well, they ended the Vietnam War. They ended public school segregation. They demanded, and received more rights for women. They acted because they could see their world was sick. I was a little boy then. I remember watching my uncle staggering through the door one afternoon covered in blood and smiling. He had just returned from a peace protest. I think it was 1969.
What is OUR time about? And what have WE done about it? Well OUR time is about the most blatant and aggressive attack on the human race that the world has ever seen. It's not a military attack, at least not yet. It's a financial attack. We have been and are being attacked by a group of privileged elite who see us as nothing but cattle. We are cattle and they are the ranchers. What are WE doing about it? NOTHING! Not a fucking thing. We sit in our 90 day same as cash couches and watch our sitcoms and hope that everything will hold together long enough for us to retire. We secretly hope that our children will somehow manage to help us if the SSI runs out and the health insurance falls short when we have a heart attack or get cancer. Other than that, we are doing NOTHING. We should be ASHAMED.
Our parents gathered together in MILLIONS and marched on Washington. They quit their jobs. They gave up their children and went on the run when J.Edgar Hoover's F.B.I. got a whiff if their trail. Do any of you wastes of life remember that???
We sit here stewing in the juices of our pathetic malaise hoping beyond hope that something, someone is going to save us. Guess what? NO ONE IS COMING! NOTHING IS GOING TO HAPPEN! Wall St. has arrogantly and brutally raped us all and here we sit, staring at that idiot box in the corner of our living room NOT thinking about it. Guess what FUCKTARDS? It happened. And it is continuing to happen.
This is not a crisis of capitalism. Capitalism has never even been attempted in our world. This is a crisis of corporatism. Corporations own and run this planet for their own profit and the political apparatus that you imagine is a farce. You have been warned, over and over that this was happening, but you wrapped your arms around your microwave ovens and steel belted radials and your I-phones and I-pads and I whateverthefucks ... anything to keep from seeing it. Eisenhower warned you. Kennedy warned you. Martin Luther King Jr. warned you. Bobby Kennedy warned you. George Carlin, Bill Hicks, Charles Bukowski, and Larry McDonald warned you. Right now, as I type, Ron Paul is warning you, Doug Stanhope is warning you, hell even Joe Rogan is warning you!
You stupid fucks are not listening. You only care about whether or not your credit score is high enough to trade in your 09 Camry for the latest and greatest 12 Camry with no money down. You only care about whether your children are obeying their robotic teachers so they can get good grades and wiggle into that reasonably respectable state college. You only care about whether or not you can still pull into that Starbucks drive-thru and get another cup of your mangled coffee surprise for $5.
Here is a little reality check. The $70 trillion that Dylan Ratigan keeps raving on and on about that we owe, YOUR children owe. It IS real and they DO owe it. When the future comes and they can't pay and you're long dead, your children will be left with choices we can't even contemplate. I am ashamed of you America. I am ashamed of the billions of humans who are content to let the masters of the universe pillage the futures of our children for their own profit. YOU SUCK and yes .. .I SUCK TOO because I can do nothing more than write these words and hope someone reads them.
